Montana Bull

I took this bull last week in Eastern Montana. I've been waiting 10 years to draw this rifle tag.

We watched him with a group of cows in the morning from about a mile off. Set up in that area in the evening and was fortunate enough to find 3 of the cows bedded in the timber. After about an hour, they started milling around, coming out into a meadow to feed. We saw the bull stand up in the timber, but it took about 30 minutes of watching him through the scope before he came out in the open and presented a good shot.

It was a long night packing him out, but well worth it.

WOW!!! What a hog! Congrats on this fine animal! I hunted over there for antelope a couple yrs ago and remember my friend saying "if you ever get to hunt over there (pointing to the breaks) you will only kill a huge bull!" Everytime I see bulls taken from this area, they are HUGE!

Well done...

Was that in the breaks or in the Ashland area? The country looks more like Southeast. Just curious. That is a great bull congrats. Well worth the wait.

Great bull! Worth the wait without a doubt. Love the 4ths and the mass that the bull carries. Congrats!
