Hey Guys,

I found this site last year and have been dropping in almost daily for a few months. I LOVE all the pictures you guys post, nice bucks everyone!!!

If I can e-mail one of you my pics from 2005, I'd gladly share them with you. Not the biggest buck in the world, but hey; we're getting slow in the photo department nowadays.

Thanks for the pictures and the laughs!!!!

Here are the pictures that camo wanted posted, nice Buck there and tell us the story.

Here's the scoop. I killed this deer in Colorado during the 3rd rifle season. I haven't hunted Mule Deer for quite awhile, nor have I rifle hunted for several years.

I got the bug to go Muley hunting. A buddy of mine came down from Kansas to video the hunt. I also had an archery tag for whitetail in Kansas, so after this hunt we were going to Kansas to video that hunt.

I had spent several days over the course of the fall scouting for a nice Muley to pursue. I finally found a couple of bucks worth chasing, so on opening morning I zeroed in on one of the bucks. Turns out, he wasn't a big as I previously thought. Very nice buck but not quite big enough.

So, we headed for the area that I'd seen this buck in. I had only seen him from a great distance an had noticed that he was fairly wide and pretty heavy. I also noticed so kicker points off the side.

Anyway, the camera broke (Canon GL2-$4000.00 invested) right before I shot him. 300 yard shot with my Thompson Encore .270 was a little more than he could handle. Of course, no video was a downer. We had to send the stupid camera in, so we didn't get my archery whitetail on video either.

But, it was an action packed week and I am now once again hooked on Mule Deer (like I need another addiction). Probably won't get a Muley tag again this year, so I'll chase Elk and Whitetails with the bow in 2006.

Sorry about the poor photos, we had planned to take pictures with the video camera, but it broke.

The outside spread was 30.5" and the mass was good, but his fronts aren't good at all. When I get him back from the Taxidermist I'll score him, but I don't think he'll go over 180"

Nice buck. You're right, we need something to keep us going through the winter, thanks for posting.
