Biggest Buck 05'?

Since all the seasons are pretty much over....what was the biggest buck everyone seen this year?....can be on the winter range, during hunting season, pre season..etc.
During hunting season the biggest buck I seen was probably a 30" 2x4...not much for mass or forks so he was pretty much a big 2 point.
Biggest pre season buck was a buck I nicknamed buddy...he was a 26-27" 4 point with great mass and deep forks...I guessed him at around 180-185" gross.
Biggest that I have seen so far on the winter range would have to be a 4x6 that I seen a couple weekends ago...great forks front and back...decents mass throughout...about a 2-3" cheater and double eyeguards on the one side....he was in the mid 170's to low 180's....still lookin for his sheds...dont know if he has dropped or not though.

^^ NIce buck, landon. I too killed the biggest one I saw, during my combined 3 hrs of hunting/scouting. Well, OK, I didnt scout at all.

This is the buck I was holding out for. I had a chance at him at only 16 yards, but he never took that last step to clear his vitals of a nice clump of sage brush and that's the last I saw of him

This is the buck I would have settled for. Never did find him.

In 2005, I saw the two biggest muleys of my life.
Also one of the biggest blacktails.
Never got them.
still very open wounds.

2005 was a great season for me. Saw a ton of big bucks during the season. The biggest being a 225+ Nontypical. Saw several 180 class typicals that I passed on in pursuit of that NT. Underjudged one because of his weak G3 on the one side. Didn't realize his strong side was a whopping 92 inches. Good thing my buddy knew a big buck when he saw one and hammered it 2 days later.

I watched another buddy take a 200 inch NT. That was one of the highlights of the season for me.

Biggest buck I've seen on the winter range was an ol' buddy of mine I call MassNTrash that I've been watching for 3 years now. He didn't change too much this year. Dropped one of his inlines and his G4's grew bigger. Figure he'd be in the 215-220 range this year.

Biggest buck I saw was in Colorado while elk hunting.
Very hard to see in the pictures but he is a decent 4x4. I was trying to get closer when I got busted by other deer I never even knew where to my left.

I've seen several really nice bucks this year but as usual they are harder to find during the season. One in particular was larger than any buck that I have seen in several years.

In early August I found non-typical that I thought I would have a good chance of finding once archery season opened. As usual he disappeared and I didn't see him after mid August. In early August I saw him four different mornings moving from his feeding area to his bedding area. I was able to count at least 4 extra points on each side. His main frame was about 31-32? wide and his extra points gave him another couple inches. I would guess his gross score was at least 205? but they are always bigger to the person hunting them. I spent a lot of time at the end of August and first half of September trying to find him but never did. At the end of archery season my wife was getting a little fed up with my hunting so I decided to take a smaller 4 point when the opportunity presented it self.

As far as I know a hunter didn't kill him this fall. I may have seen him during the rut with some does but didn't get a good enough look at that buck. I don't spend much time pushing deer around on the winter range but have an idea were he would likely spend the winter. Maybe I'll get luck and find his sheds in a couple months. It would be even better if I could post a picture of my self with him this next fall.

Awesome bucks, Landon, BC. Biggest live buck I saw in '05 had to be one of the ones I saw on our late June Winthrop trip. Though you couldn't tell what they would end up in October, one or two were definitely 25-26 inch five points, or better. Biggest dead buck the 28 inch typical four by four my realtor shot in the Okie last day of modern.

The biggest I saw this year was a 30"+ 200" class buck the day before opening day of the Idaho rifle season. Of course he was gone the next morning.
