Nice buck......that split ear adds a lot of character. How old of of buck was he?
 
we estimated about 5 or 6, and most likely would have been his last winter had i not launched an arrow into his heart, and considering his physical condition at that time
 
That's a good buck! I've got a split-ear buck too - he also has a few tufts of velvet he never shed near the tips. I left them on for the character. Good lucking mount! Who is the taxidermist?

i rough scored this bad boy at 173 gross
not sure if im goin to enter it into pope & young or not
the taxidermist was Joe Mclusky out of Strathmore, Alberta
 
just if u guys were wondering, i shot this buck in alberta, about 20 mins outside of one of the larger cities.
 
so has anyone else got their mounts back yet and like to share??
