'morning All,

Just spinning my wheels on bow-161 mule deer, 113-114 bow buck, or the 108 late bow muley.....

Any experience hunting either one of them or any thoughts about either one of them....

Thanks for any heads-up help.

Robb, I am fairly familiar with researching 108,and 161-164units.
As far as 113-114 not familiar.

But with 108 late, the deer get pushed down by snow into alot of private land which can make things difficult. If you went with that I would hunt in 101 at the far north of the units.
Now with 161 that was my second choice last year. I didnt plan on drawing my first but I did, Look into the Table mountain area and the bacside of Duckwater peak which borders 164/131 there area some bomber bucks in 164/131 border but tough to get at.
Also dont forget about 171-171 Arc Dome wilderness. If thats the type of hunt you want.

I hunted 131-134 last year archery, if you have enough points I can put you on some 160+ bucks...let me know...

"PD" in unit 111 and the Schell Range, local ranches graze alot,Imean alott!!! of domestic sheep till late Sept in the High Country.Find areas without sheep, for "BEST" chances ???

Lived in Central Nevada for a while and got to know some of the country. If your looking at going on the backside of Table Mountain.........bring a couple of spare tires. Tires blow out in that country fairly easy and it is long way from anywhere or anybody.

RACK.. The late Rubies is great and frustrating at the same time. If you go back to old posts or search, I've done alot of responses on this hunt. It'll take more points than the other hunts on average. It's cold, I mean below zero. The great part? You'll see a tremendous amount of good bucks-26"+ that are crazy in the rut. If you figure out how to get on them in the lower, bitterbrush country where they are that time of year, let me know. There are sooo many deer concentrated in bunches, I honestly never got within 100 yards of any buck I put a stalk on. You would have to skirt several bunches of deer to get to the buck you wanted. Once you get busted, just find another buck and try again. It was that good and bad at the same time.

Thanks alot for your input guys. I'll get the final draft done and gone this wknd for my appl.

Surprising how many bow deer hunts are 1 in 1.5 to 1 in 3 drawing odds..... gotta be picky and certain for what I go for..

Where is 'Cass' when ya need his input.... ha

Thanks again, Robb
