I haven't been able to get the elk forum to open for about a month, but can open the rest of them. Anybody else having any trouble with it?

Yup, I sure have. I can open it at work but not at home. maybe there are some popups or cookies attached that are getting blocked?

I thought it was just my computer.

I can't get into the elk forum either!About a mounth or so now.:RIMROCK

I can not open it from the main menu, but if I am in another forum, I can use the drop down and access it that way, also there are some posts I can not get to open either.....pretty wierd.

I had problems with the elk forum as well. I recently switched internet providers and have had no problems since the change.....

Don't have a problem either, can't understand why any of you can't enter the Elk forum it has not been shut down at all.

Its because of crappy ass advertisment code thats locking up web browsers. I get it alot... even outside of Elk Forum.

I haven't been able to get on to the Elk forum for a long time, from my home computer. I e-mailed Founder and he told me it was AOL. I deleted my cookies and re-booted but still no luck getting on at home. In my case it's probibly AOL, are you guys using AOL?

I access MM through a dedicated T1 so no, it aint the connection... I get load problems at home off my DLS connection too, this is BECAUSE IT ISNT THE CONNECTION!

Its not AOL... its the crappy advertisement code. I am a programmer by trade and looked into it a bit after my browser locked up for the Nth time. I get problems loading the entire site at least twice a day or more.

I'm dial up and not AOL so it is not a AOL problem. There are also certain items in other MM forums that won't load up either. An example of this is the 'Antlerquest Still in Business' thread on the general forum.

sure like to fix the problem somehow.

It is probably KTC bogging down the Elk Forum trying to figure out what bullet to shoot out of his 300 Win Mag on the Early Dutton rifle Hunt this year. LMAO!!!!!

Dallan......what exactly does that mean? Is there a "fix" for it, because I'm having trouble too. Thanks

Steve

Yah, can we kill the ad code if that's what it is? And for some reason it's only on the elk forum!

I have not had a problem....kind of explains why it has been a little slow over there!!

Hmmmm - next question - is this affecting Mac's or PC's? I have no problems with my PC. Everytime I try and use a Mac I get some problem or other - regardless of crappy advertisments. Not to say that that is the reason people can't access the Elk Forum for sure or not. Just curious. But I do hate Mac's.

I've had no problems from the four different computers I access MM. Different locations altogether.

I tried my home computer again last night and I still can't get into the Elk forum.

It's getting bad, now I can't get in on some post, Dang..they NEED my in-put:RIMROCK

For those of you who were having trouble accessing the Elk Forum, try it now. I renamed the directory. I believe the problem was with a server between my server and your computers.
By changing the directory name, I believe it should work OK for all.

Thanks!!!!
