Need some information if possible. I have hunted last four years, in Stanley & the Pine area. We have done really good. But I see where they have left over tags in the South East, never been there, is it worth looking in to, or is it a waste of time. Thanks alot Mike

If it was an area that gave you a decent chance at a wall hanger there wouldn't be left over tags. There have been left over tags every year since the F&G turned it into a controlled hunt area for nonresidents.

If you have been doing well in that area I would stick with it! SE corner=overrated for deer. Not bad, just not as good as it once was nor as good as everyone thinks. There are deer in those units and every year someone takes a good (or great) buck, but there are plenty of other units/areas that are as good or better. Maybe your already hunting one of them!
