Northern Region

First time poster/long time reader.


My family and I usually pull Northeastern tags and hunt around the Moon Lake area. However, this year we didn't get the Northeastern region and got stuck with northern. What is the success rate in this area? Opinions on where we might be able to go? We have 7 hunters in our group. (I'm the only out of stater though)

Not looking for someones "Honey hole". Just looking for some discussion on where to start looking. Thanks for your support.

How did you not get get a notheastern tag? I thought there were still some left.

No kidding, if you didn't pull a NE tag and your app was filled out correctly, I'd being contacting the DWR. They didn't sell them all. Worst case, they might let you switch your tags over? Can't remember if Utah is smart enough to let you do this or not?

Come June 15th you can go to the DWR office and they will switch your tag for $5, but only if tags are left in that region (there are some now). Once a region sells out however you are not able to trade your tag for a tag in that region.

You must have filled the app out wrong to not draw a NE tag. With the unit undersubscribed in the draw either you screwed up or the DWR did somehow.
