colorado unit 75

hey all, I have a question. has anyone ever hunted in unit 75 ? any advice will be greatly appreciated. I actually drew the 2nd hunt, no points, never entered colorado draw or hunted there before. this deer hunt/license was supposed to be an option on my elk hunt so I wanted to at least apply for it. I am now not going on the elk hunt but still drew the tag. 2nd season, general rifle. seriously ANY help at all. thanks.

I hunted it last year 3rd season. Saw some small bucks. Warm weather. Deer were scattered. Alot of private down low. My cousin and I had tag soup. Pray for snow. Good luck

yeah paul your still a whack job !! ha ha ha ! wheres ole potato boy at these days ? I miss you guys too. well thanks for the info. I thought I would be having a combo hunt with this deer tag and an elk tag but only got the deer tag now. I've never hunted colorado but it has to be about the same as az, if theres a road theres a truck ? go high, glass, and hope for snow. seriously though I'm flying kinda blind here so really anything you all can think of will be greatly appreciated. thanks again !!

P-Dub is out here in Fresno, CA. That's about 50 miles from me. We're supposed to go hog huntin' here pretty soon.

Michael, if it were third season I could help you more. I hunt 70 which isn't far from there. Usually third season you just go low in the sage. Second season you'll probably have to go high, and get off the beaten path. One thing you can do, and I've done it in the past....Call the wildlife biologist for that unit. They are very helpful.
