idaho super hunt resluts

Anybody Know Cory Kondeff from Star Idaho?
This lucky guy drew 2 tags! Deer and Antelope. I'd love to know how much money he put into the super tag draw, maybe it would help me not feel so bad. I dropped about $100 and didn't luck out again this year. Anybody else notice all of the out of state guys? Must be a lot of big money getting these tags now days. Also, I found it strange that of the 25+ tags only 2 went to guys from Boise.

It is a public draw! I went to the draw and watched them pull the tags myself. I don't know if people realize they can watch the drawing, for there where only 7 of us attending. Rumor has it the guy that drew the Super Hunt Combo flew in on May 31 from Washington, and bought $7,000.00 worth of tickets(per one of the F & G officials). I could see paying $7,000.00 for the tag (if I had it) but no way would I drop 7 grand on the chance of drawing it. I myself spent $150.00 but had no luck. But well worth it to me just for the chance of drawing.

I was in the F&G office the morning after the deadline and one of the women there was telling me about the guy that flew in at the last minute and purchased that many applications. On top of the $7k he put in to the combo draw, apparently he also put a few grand (not sure the exact $$$ amount) into the drawing for individual species. Wish I was able to throw that kind of cash around.
Congrats to him on the draw and thanks for such a large donation to that program. Hope he gets something that makes it worth it for him.

I know Cory pretty well. This will be his first year big game hunting, he'll turn 12 in July.
Anyone have any opinions on the best areas for a young man like that to try and shoot an antelope and buck mule deer of a lifetime.
