What is the best week to scout ?

Hey guys, I can get a week off at the end of August or the end of September----Which is the best time to scout if I am hunting the 2nd season at the end of October for mule deer in Colorado Unit #62?????I am taking the most time that I can around the hunt, so I can't just save it. What would you do?

PS: Anyone live in or around Montrose??

If you can't get the time off then go the last week of Sept. The bucks should have moved out of thier summer areas and into their 'staging' areas. Good luck on your hunt!

Yeah, September, but LATE September (give the archers and muzzleloaders a break......don't wreck THEIR hunts).

I'd save my vacation time in Aug and Sept. and show up as many days as I could before the October hunt.
