My father and I drew a X5a Mule deer tag. I was wondering if anybody has any info. on this unit that they would be willing to share? I'm not asking anybody to draw me a map or take me by the hand, I'm just trying to gather info. so I have a place to start. I will be calling the biologist, getting maps and doing as much research as I can. I'm trying to find a place to start so I can scout, I plan on going scouting in 2 weeks and I need a place to start. Like I said I'm not asking for a honey hole, I just need a place to start. I'm not familar with this area at all. I would really appreciate any info. on this unit that somone would be willing to share.

Thank you

I tried to post this earlier but I could not find it so this might be posted twice....

I found a link in a different post but I guess it went offline.
I'm sure someone will post when it comes back.

DFG put it up on their website too early, and we think someone had them pull it. It will probably be back up later this week.

I know someone who I think is charging access fees (don't know how much) if you're having problems finding a good buck. He's got some good bucks on his place.

Slide. I'll Pm you some starting points. There is some good private land in the unit but its probably 90% public so there is no need to pay if you don't want to.

I hate to be an idiot but what does PM mean? Also I do not want to pay to hunt. My father and I are do it your selfers we like to strap on the pack and hike, we get a lot of enjoyment out of doing all the leg work the reward is alot sweeter in the end when you do all the work your self, plus it's alot of fun. We went to E. Oregon 4yrs ago and we scouted and researched and we did pretty good, man was that fun.

Thank you for assisting me, I really appreciate it.
