And they still say my 13 year old son, Tommy, drew J12! He got one of the 5 random draw tags. Awesome! He has drawn a better deer tag than I have ever drawn. I did not draw squat, but am even more excited about helping him get his first bruiser. I hope he beats my best. I am sure he will beat this one.

Elmerfudd don't know where you live, but the boy will a outstanding hunt.You will see lots of bucks, the key is be patient, its hard when you are young. Good luck to you guys.

well. I hunt the area alot, my boy has had the tag twice.I live in the area. He has missed two bucks in the 30 inch class, both easy shots, we laugh about now, we crying before, but thats hunting. I am taking one of his freinds this year. Let me know if I can you out. Mike

Drew D-7 2nd choice have not hunting the area for a long time, last hunted around the beasore meadows area. With out giving away your serects can anyone point me in a direction.
chasemike, we are in Ridgecrest. I plan to take the week before the season to scout, and come home and get him for the opener, unless I get lucky in the AZ draw. It is his hunt, but I will try to talk him out of anything less than exceptional until the last weekend. But it is still his call. Actually, I feel JR hunts should offer lots of opportunityat legal game, not necessiarly be extremely tag limited trophy hunts like this. They could give more kids a chance that way. But it is what it is, and I am happy my son and I will go on this one.

Thanks YD I plan on doing a litte preseason scouting, Think I'll scout around shut eye first and see how that goes. If not maybe around Morris lake and that area. Good luck and thanks richard.
