N.M unit 13

Well just found out that we drew unit 13 deer tags for the late Nov. hunt.Any quality buck in that unit and hows the drought effecting horn growth.Just looking for a starting point any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks Brian

Have hunted there two seasons. Took an average sized buck the second time. Very adverse weather when I was there. We set up camp the first day and then woke up in the dark with several inches of snow. Big country, many hunters, few deer, but I guess there are some big ones. Fun hunt. I also drew this year. You will see many hunters off all the turn offs between Datil and Pie Town. It has been several years since I've been there. It will be a while before busting out the maps again. Don't know the actual names of where I hunt. A good buddy that hunts elk there drew me a "X" on a map and that has been my glassing spot. Have seen a few animals every day while hunting, but only got into the bucks that one time. Good luck

GOOD DEER IF YOU FIND THEM.HUNT AROUND WATER DROFT,THERE ARE A FEW AROUND. SOME DEER COME OFF PRIVITE RANCHES TO FEED AND THEN GO BACK TO BED,SUCH AS THE H AND H. LOTS OF ELK SOMETIMES THAT GET IN THE WAY,WHEN YOU ARE HUNTING DEER;LOL.NOW IF I WAS HUNTING ELK,LOOK OUT
