Wondering on your thoughts on face masks and gloves. Hunting
whitetails here in the midwest you can get away without high in
a tree but it is still reccomended. On the ground however it is
a must as they will pick up any movement and bare skin increases
their odds. In the hunting videos it seems more go without for
elk when calling them in. I would like to hear some opinions
from experienced elk hunters on this.

We use it all for archery elk and deer. Scent Killer products, full scent-lok cloths, hood and gloves as well as face paint to break up the skin/face outline. Seems to work great for us. All hunting from the ground. I had a cow elk at 3 feet last year and several other elk as well as deer over the years walking and feeding so close you could watch there noses drip...what a rush to be that close to game.

I think in the videos people tend to want to be noticed on TV. As you indicate if your face is exposed we feel that gives the game more to notice as just not being right. Look at it from the games eye. They see everything else all camo'd up and blended into the terrain and in the middle of everything this nice round skin toned face looking at them so they spook...and guys wonder why... then some complain that their gear does not work including Scent Killer Products, Scent-lok products when they get busted. Scent elimiantion and using camo is like hunt'n. To be consistantly sucessful at it you need to know what your do'n to eliminate human odors as much as possible. Then camo up everything and you will get close to your game.

Good Hunting ))))......>

Thanks TrophyHunter, I have only hunted elk three times
in my life and killed a spike and two 6x6's with bow
and did not have my face or hands covered. Don't know if
I was just lucky or if it didn't matter. Hope to hear from
some others.
