Getting Nervous/Wasatch Help?

I have an LE Wasatch Rifle tag and have been scouting out a few places during the summer. I found two spots that were holding good numbers of cows. I was encouraged since I thought once the rut started the bulls would find the cows. Unfortunately on my last trip over the weekend to gather trail cameras and get another look, it looks like the cows have moved out of both areas.

Do you think they'll come back (wishful thinking) or do I need to find some other areas? Also, if anyone as any advice or information they would be willing to share about promising locations I would welcome it.

Thank you in advance.

I wouldnt worry to much, the elk are getting pushed around by the archery guys and they might be in different areas by the time your hunt starts, just go up and explore over the next few weeks and you should be able to find them again, prob just a couple canyons away from where you had seen them.

Everything will change once the rut starts. Bulls you saw this summer or even last weekend will likely be hard to locate, sometimes traveling 5 miles or more from where you saw them in the summer or this past weekend. On the plus side, bulls you have never seen will all the sudden appear. You will see lots of bulls. Be patient. We have two rifle tags for that unit in our family. If you haven't found elk the week before it starts (which is unlikely) send a message and can help you out.
