Whirlwind weekend scouting trip. Good times with good buds. Drove my H4 (Hyundai 4cylinder), don't laugh. At $45 bucks in gas round trip?I don't care what we looked like driving that baby!!! 14 miles on our legs. Lots of elk spotted. Good bulls, not great bulls, but good bulls, a few bucks as well. Dang nice just to be out there. A few pics for those of you who stayed home to watch Batman this weekend ;-)!!! Can?t wait to get back in there with bow in hand, 6 weeks and counting.

X2 on the hunting rig! I have a 1991 Corolla that I drive everywhere, would not give it up.

Nice pics also, thanks for sharing.

Hey Fork there is a wildlife landscape post in the photgraphy forum. A couple of those pics would go great. Awesome pics and scenery. Makes me with I was there.

Very nice pics. That is some very nice looking country. Kudos to you on the Hyundai Pro Hunter GLX Package. Very savvy.

Great pics! I was amazed to recognize the trail and the basin you photographed. I haven't been there this year so it is great to see how much snow is still there. Don't worry - I always claim to hunt "no Tellum" ridge.

Thanks for sharing - that H4 will look great with a big stinky bull draped across the hood come September!

GO HARD KORE AND SCOUT SOME AMAZING COUNTRY

Nice pics. Looks like beautiful country!

The exposed spotting scope eyepiece in pic #3 makes me cringe! I hope it's either very old, inexpensive, or there's a cover that I can't see. Few things make for a good spotting trip like dragging your eyepiece through 14 miles of trees. :)

great pics and some good looking country

Very sweet. Pictures like that keep me coming back to check this site daily.

Best of luck in 6 weeks and get back to us with a story and more pictures.

Ha, too funny Robb. But you're right, we hit Montpelier at 9:55pm and the fast food girl locked the door to Article Circle right in front of us, when she laid eye on my wheels, well...we were eat'n ranch burgers and fry sause.

Great Pics thanks for sharing!!! that looks like some awesome country up there. good luck to you on your hunt.
