Whirlwind weekend scouting trip. Good times with good buds. Drove my H4 (Hyundai 4cylinder), don't laugh. At $45 bucks in gas round trip?I don't care what we looked like driving that baby!!! 14 miles on our legs. Lots of elk spotted. Good bulls, not great bulls, but good bulls, a few bucks as well. Dang nice just to be out there. A few pics for those of you who stayed home to watch Batman this weekend ;-)!!! Can?t wait to get back in there with bow in hand, 6 weeks and counting.

Great pics! I was amazed to recognize the trail and the basin you photographed. I haven't been there this year so it is great to see how much snow is still there. Don't worry - I always claim to hunt "no Tellum" ridge.

Nice pics. Looks like beautiful country!

The exposed spotting scope eyepiece in pic #3 makes me cringe! I hope it's either very old, inexpensive, or there's a cover that I can't see. Few things make for a good spotting trip like dragging your eyepiece through 14 miles of trees.
