Thats a great area, stay high on the ridges and glass all the canyons, their are some nice bucks in that area. If you go up to Buck Springs also try going North a little more on Main canyon road to Big Glade. The area to the North of Big Glade is awesome! Lots of Elk too, all the locals that have hunted for years spend alot of time in that area! Good Luck!

It can be a great area. You will have a lot of company for the first few days but it will thin out after the opening. There are some good bucks there but you will have to hunt hard to catch one out. There are not that many good bucks in the area. By good buck, I mean a solid 24" buck (160 class). All the locals do hunt there. I used to hunt there a lot and I still hunt there for elk but I haven't seen any monster deer there for quite some time. Good luck. Keep us posted on what you find. Try up in Little Valley and those canyons that goe up to Strawberry Peak. There have been a few good bucks that have hung out in those draws the last couple of years.
