Any thoughts or ideas on some places in area 87 wyoming. No honey holes just a starting point. hunting rifle oct 15 thru oct 31. Any help would be appeciated. thank you..

Sorry no one has responded. I don't know a lot about that area, but I have checked with some folks in the past. It's a good spot to take a solid 4X4 but you won't likely see a buck over 180. Sounds like the deer are mostly on the Ferris Mtns that time of year. There's rough country on both ends on the south side, away from the roads.
I'd also check with the local game warden and the BLM wildlife lady. I visited with them last year and they were helpful. I've never had the license, but it sounds like a good area, especially for public ground.

I hunted there several years ago and drove in to the ferris mountains from the Pathfinder Ranch. It was hot th first day then snowed 18" over 24 hours. Our huntng group shot four bucks mine was the biggest at 170" 4X4. If I remember right try miner's gulch and work your way up the mountain. Good Luck, Eric
