looking for some help/advice here, guys. i have a friend and his dad from upstate new york, my home town, who are interested in coming out to hunt mule deer or elk. not looking to spend major money, we're all going to be on a budget and i don't really think it's worth it for them to buy a non res otc deer tag in washington(non-res wa. licenses are way too expensive) so we were thinking idaho and do a drop camp. what i'm wondering is if anyone has any recommendations for an outfitter who does the drop hunts. i figure it would be a great way to get them out here, let them experience the mountains of the west and if we find a couple nice bucks, that would be a bonus. probably looking to be within a hundred miles or so of the lewiston area(we are not set in stone on this) and since we had this discussion today, i figured i'd start with the best source of info i know of and that's this site. thanks in advance for any advice.
oh yeah, if you are an outfitter and do drop hunts, send me a pm and give me some info...thanks

He's not within 100 miles of Lewiston, but if you contact High Country Outfitters (Mr. Allread) @ 259-3408, he will do drop camps for you. In fact, he only does drop camps for deer; concentracting on elk hunters (I think). His rep and his area is good. He's in the area of the S. Fork of the Payette out of Grandjean.

If you want to do it yourself, get in touch with me. I'll send you in the right direction.
