Depending on where you are from, you will probably see more deer than you have ever seen before. It is in my opinion the best area that I have ever seen, to shoot a 160 - 175 class Muley. The genetics for that class of deer are awesome and because of the minerals, the deer produce really dark brown, heavy racks. I have seen a 190 plus, muley from the road, but he was on land, that I could not access.
The problem, with Broadus is all of the private ranch land is tied with outfitters who lease it for their clients. I would estimate that 85 percent or more is that way. There is block management, but it gets hits pretty hard by everyone else.
I was lucky enough to meet a rancher in town while having beers, that let me hunt his ranch. I can't tell you who that is, but I may have some ideas for you if you are doing a self-guided hunt. If you are being outfitted, than don't worry, you will shoot a nice buck.
