I have drawn a license for the Nov. 4-10 rifle mule deer hunt. I need info on unit-never been in unit but after 13 years I got drawn.

Excellent tag! Be patient and you should get a dandy. If I had that tag I would have some high expectations. It is very possible to take a book buck.

Migration hunt. Masadonna Tavern/campground has a couple of reasonable small cabins and is located in a good area if you don't want to camp. By end of your season majority of deer (bucks) will be moved down from monument and mountains into sagebrush and begin rutting. Hunting will get better and better as season progresses. Lots of very nice mature bucks but monsters are hard to find.Comparatively speaking a relatively easy unit to hunt. Glass, glass and glass some more.

I drove through that unit on the way home from craig to utah last year during that time a 30 inch 3pt (heavy) and a buck that buck wouldve grosses over 190 ( 170 frame with some) trash and he was a young deer. both these deer were ruttin pretty good and I think it was about the 10th of nov.

Awesome Tag! I too was saving up for this hunt but decided to use my 9 res points on Unit 21 this year. I'll be up there during the same week starting Nov 4. Keep in touch. I'd like to hear how your hunt goes.
