NM Unit 34

I drew a muzzle loader tag in this unit and have a couple of questions? There seems to be a LOT of tags for this unit does this mean there are that many deer or not enough deer to worry about managing? What type of quality should we look for in this unit? We are aso trying to decide if we should camp or try and find a place to stay. Is their any available lodging in Cloudcroft or Mayhill. Thanks in advance.

That well be a good hunt but not much of a trophy unit lots of smaller bucks 80-140 class some 180 but not many, too many hunters.
Book hotels now in cloudcroft or camp all around mayhill or cloudcroft.
