Pack Question

I'm looking around for a pack thats good for a 3-5 day outing. Once in a while I might go for more. I also want to be able to pack meat or game out if I'm successful. I'm just wondering what everyone else is using and why they do or dont like it. So far I've looked at a few packs. The Badlands 4500 seems nice. It is a little heavy and it looks like I would pack the meat in with all of my stuff. I also like the Kifaru Siwash, this looks like a nice pack but I havent seen any of them in person. I've heard good things about the Just One but I'm not sure if thats the one for me. The last one is the Ultimate Hardcore External Frame pack. Cameron Hanes talks that one up in his book and they have been getting a lot of endorcements from other hunters-----but he also says that for longer hunts he wants a more comfortable internal frame? Has anyone used this pack?
Anyway, just looking around at some packs and wanted some input before I make a choice.

Thanks
Andy

I have a Jansport aluminum external frame pack that is super light, has a couple large pockets for gear, a couple samll external pockets for quick access, and the pack can easily be removed from the frame to use the frame for packing out game, it cost about $110.00 at a camping store. I have used it a couple of times, including a high country hunt in the Idaho Sawtooths in 2001. It worked like a champ, and is holdin up well. It isn't a flashy high end "endorsed" pack but it works great, and definately more bang for the buck. Oh yeah it has about 5600 cubic inches of storage.

I've had a cabela's alaskan guide for 4 years now and wouldn't trade it for the world. Very comfortable external frame with a rifle holder and spotting scope bag. It breaks down easily to use just the frame for packing meat.

I have the Cabellas Alaskan Guide pack and the Hard Core Hunt Pack. The Cabellas pack is one big pack too big for most outings but I must say that when it comes to packing meat the frame is the most comforable of any I have tried under a heavy load. The Hard core pack is where most my equiptment lives most of the time. Great spotting scope and tripod pockets outside for fast access flash light and knife pockets and much more. The bottom line is that it is very comfortable under a 30 to 40 Lbs load and is made by guys that understand hunting and the priorities of how to lay out a pack according to what you may need to access. I have also packed meat with the frame and it does a good job.

I've got the Cabela's Alaskan Outfitter, it works well for packing out meat, but on long hike-ins where every oz counts it's a little heavy.
If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?
