I love hunting bulls BUT I love eating elk more so watch out cows next year we are drawing some cow tags.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-20-10 AT 08:48AM (MST)[p]Had one hell of a friend to help me on this hunt. We woke up at 3:00am and headed up the mountain. When we got up there, all we saw were bulls and big antlered muleys rutting. When walking back to the 4 wheelers, my (guide/friend) spotted a group of cows about 3/4 of a mile away. We then booked it to the 4 wheelers and got to the back side of the mountain where the cows were. Then, we put the sneek on them just as they were going into the trees. This big ol girl stopped, perfect broadside 100 yards at most, and one shot from the 30-06 put her down in her tracks. :9
