Hi guys,

Thanks again shane for posting this for me.I thought you guys would like to see it.I am a little surprised by the score guesses because i am pretty sure this buck is 175 or better.I had him at 20 yards full draw but could not decide if he would touch 180 or not.The picture must not do him justice but i rescpect your guys guesses.I will try to get some better pic's of him this week as i think he will be out of velvet.I have looked at him almost everyday for 2 weeks and have him pegged at 177 gross but maybe will have throw an arrow at him so i can put a tape on him.Hope everyone is having a great fall.

Fromt the pic, it appears that he has good beam length and width, so that will definitely help him out. But his 3-4 look fairly short. He could hit 165-170, but pics are real hard to judge from. So just shoot him already.....

Don't shoot if your looking for 180, nice young buck but I think the other guys are real close maybe low 160's.

I think he's between 170-173 gross... at first glance I gave him a 177 or 178, but his mains are a little weak I think..I definitely disagree with the 150-160 scores..He's better than that.. Shoot that thing and straighten these guys out..

150 is right on. He has no tine length and sporting a 24-25 inch inside spread. He's got some great genetics but if you're looking for something in the 170 range keep the safety on. 4 year old buck at best.

wow..ok..I'm looking at it very close now..he looks to have a small head and ears..that may be the decieving part...so maybe he's in the 160's gross..but I can't go any lower than that..

I think he has decent enough G1's G2's, and G4's to put him there..

He looks like a 160 class buck. Good symetry, decent height, nice eye guards.

His back and front forks fork a little high or he would score better.

I always try to play it on the safe side and underestimate quite a bit - that way I never get surprised by "ground shrinkage" - when I first glanced at him I thought high 140's - which means he is probably bigger than that but not so much bigger that it would be significant. Then again - the pic is not that great and the velvet can be very deceiving. I would probably agree that it is a 150 buck when all is said and done.

yeah, i was thinking 155 maybe 160...Velvet is very deceiving. It would be a dead deer if i had a tag in my pocket though...he is a pretty buck, but then maybe let him grow up a little, see what he might become. He is definatley a younger deer. I guess it depends on where u are, and how many people are gonna be chasing him...back home a forkie is in trouble most the time alot of pressure. hope ya get him, a buck in the hand is better then eating tag soup...

Good looking buck! Dont let the score be your determining factor for taking him. If you'd be happy hanging him on your wall, then get er done! Sometimes the score is a bit overrated!

Nice Buck! I would say he is a very nice young buck with lots of potential. Short main beams and nice G1's and G4's. I would score him at 161. Thanks for the photo. Go kill him already so we can all put this to rest!

Nice looking buck. I would give him 157" gross. I wouldn't be surprised if he went over 160" but I don't think he is over 165".
If he looks good to you, then the score shouldn't matter.

I would put him right at 170 maybe a few shy, but not much. It would be interesting to see what the score comes out at if you nail him. Good luck and that is a great buck.

Thanks for all your comment's everyone.Decided to pass on this buck but have some more pics of him out of velevet as well as a couple other real hogs i am chasing.Hope you all enjoy and hope i have some kill photos to show you soon.I just have to stop being so fussy.Will post as soon as i am home.Shane you here that(we will post some photos.
