Here's the buck I shot at 32 yards. Not a monster by no means, but I couldn't pass him up.
Gus and I watched this buck and his four buddies while they covered 2 miles of turf. We got ahead of the bucks after a 1/2 mile of playing hop-scotch, and we were finally able to get downwind of the bucks. As I crested the last hill, I spotted the velvet tips of the 175 class typical leading the bunch; 25 yards away. I motioned to Gus and Gus kept watch as I got ready. Gus pointed to where the non-typical was and I slowly stood. Both bucks had their heads down as I drew on the non-typical. I let the arrow fly and the buck lifted his head just as the arrow hit him. When I connected, Gus damn near knocked me off my feet with his high five. The buck topped the hill and we found him expiring on the other side.
Any guesses as to a score???
