Henry Mountains Muzzleloader

I have a Henry Mountains muzzleloader tag for this year. I have done quite a bit of scouting and have found several nice bucks but no real monsters yet. If anyone has any information on specific areas I would appreciate it. I will be going back this week for a day and then two days before the hunt starts. I have spent most of my time looking on Mt. Ellen and Pennell. I know this is a great unit and it took a long time to draw so I want to make the most of it. I hope to kill a monster DIY buck so any help from those of you who really know the unit would be greatly appreciated. Also, if any of you hunted the unit with a bow this year I would love to talk to you.

underneath ellen is a great spot DEER HEAVEN that is what it is called look around there rough country that was a family honey hole back in the day i will probably never get the chance at one of those big boys. Good luck keep us informed on how you do.

What do you consider a monster? I hunted 9 days on the archery hunt and seen some nice bucks the biggest about 200 to 205 (2) a few 190 class (3 or 4) alot of 170s but nothing of true Monster (220 plus) category. I ended up killing a 189 buck with 45 inches of mass and 29 outside, he wasnt the biggest buck I saw but Im happy with him I honestly couldve chased the 2 big bucks and not got a shot opportunity the whole hunt. I set my goal at 190 and he was close enough for me especially with a bow, man that country is hard to hunt, steep, rocky and not much cover! and getting inside of 200 yards can be tough wait for the wind (thermals) on your stocks it is really consistant in the steep country.I will send you a pm for the rest of the info.

Did you just call me " Bad Boy"?? Alright, but most my hunting friends call me "lunch Box" cause I eat all the food in camp .I Emailed them in at the first of the week and hopefully I got it right. Im not to savy when it comes to computers so well just have to see. Do you have any pics of your animals in monster mulies " bad Boy"?
