12AE late hunt

Harvey, you drew my tag........LOL.......anyway, you know you have a great tag. You hopefully have scouted already and checked out what happened with the warm fire and how it is coming back. There are all kinds of spots to hike into off the house rock road and hunt, but the best advice would be to get up and glass looking for doe groups. Are you setting up camp and staying for the whole hunt? Hope you shoot a good one............ Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Good luck on this hunt; It's a good one! Allen gave you good advice on the deer. Also, pray for snow! Lots of it, and early!!!

As for the buff tag, I think most folks would tell you not to waste your money. They are just TOO rare outside the park. That being said, on my boy's junior hunt last year we met a father/son who had come face to face with a big bull buffalo! Of course they didn't have a tag though. This was in the far southern end of the unit towards the park boundary.

Good luck!

:)

PS: I second what REDDOG says! We have a new 10 week old vizsla in our house. Pure joy....

Gotta love those red dogs. Thanks for the info planned on being there 3 days before the hunt starts until it is over. Have good glass because i usually hunt coues deer. Just lookin for any advice thanks, V-Dog

Vizladog;
I was up there this weekend and spent a lot of time down lower than the deer. There isn't even any sign in the P & J country yet. Spent most of my time looking for camp sites and spotting locations. Plan on making a few more trips up there during the next two months to locate the buck my wife is going to shoot. Gotta be optimistic, right?
