Just returned last nite from 5-A elk hunting , saw a ton of buck's some probably 30 in or better, we're going to try to go back next year for deer!

here here!!! i am. Yeah i was in unit 3 and unit 2 archery hunting with the wife, actually she had the deer tag, i was supposed to be elk hunting. She ended up taking a small fork and horn. Real great for her first archery buck! I thought. I saw some real nice bucks! I was there(in unit 2/3) for 5 days. All i have to say is AWESOME!!! The bucks this year have really bloomed! This past weekend i was out in unit 1, last weekend for my elk tag, i saw about 50 deer. Mostly does, but i counted 8 excellentshooter bucks! They were huge! I take it you got drawn for unit 3, DG-3? Good luck. Excellent game there as well! Best of luck to you and everyone else.

Oh forgot to mention that my son was drawn for the youth elk hunt here in a couple weeks and the Mrs and I still have our elk hunts in NOV and Jan. CANT WAIT! My sons first hunt.

Dont think i'll be leavin' any horns in the trees either, especially if its a monster!

Sounds great, we'er excited .this is our 4th year we got drawn in unit 3,we took this buck in 04 from there on the last day of the. we hunted for two weeks ,we had a great time.
