I have not heard but they should have!
Most amazing evening I've ever seen on Hwy 64 the night before season. I was driving down to Aztec from Colorado Springs, I had a 2A tag. It looked like the migration had already started. From Humphries all the way to Blanco, deer and elk everywhere. Just past J10 turn off Hwy patrol and tow truck was scraping up a 300 6x6 off hwy. Saw a 330 and a cow running down the fence line on North side of hwy 2 mi east of Forest on the Jic. I saw a bonafied 340 7x7 run across the road near Buster Webb's Place. Deer in the road everywhere, usually you'll see a resident deer or two, not the case, it looked like January. The highlight was when the biggest non-typical and two 170 plus bucks walked across 64 right infront of me...I'm talking HUGE...Like bigger than you would believe if I told you. I swung the lights on them at 25 yards the bucks just stared for about 30 seconds and slipped out into the sage.
The rifle guys are going to mow'em down this year.
