Hey guys.I just got back from Utah.Heres a couple pics of my first muzzleloader buck. We had a great hunt. Saw tons of deer. We didn't see any whoppers, but saw lots of small to medium bucks. He's 26 1/2 wide, 19 tall, 4x4 with a couple of cheaters. Not the biggest buck on the mountain, but was too good to pass.

Nice!

I can't wait to draw that tag. Been putting for 5 years. Wonder how much longer I'll have to wait?

Congrats on a nice buck!

What a beautiful buck! Very nice, great rack, exceptional cape.

How many years did you have to wait to draw?

Don,

Nice job! I saw a couple of huge 5 x 5's down there but, only came out with a 3 x 3 - 26". I rolled the 4-wheeler and cracked a couple of ribs. Shot him on the way out after hobbling out of the truck when we saw him. I was seeing 40 to 50 bucks a day until that point.

I got your e-mails at home last night. I will send a picture or two when I get a minute. E-mail me at home kind of where you were at. I would like to see how far away from each other we actually were.

Take care!

Great looking deer. The Book Cliffs is a great area. Ive been lucky enough to draw that unit twice since 2002. What area did you take that buck in? Looks quite a bit different than the areas I hunted.

Congratulations on a fine buck. I was curious to where you were hunting was it the roadless area or the roaded area. We are heading out today to try and fill my grandpa's elk tag. We are camping near wolf den, and would like to see some bucks. We were out their two week ago, and only seen two deer. If you are wondering why we are still hunting rifle elk my grandpa's handicaped and has a extra 30 days to hunt. Did you see any elk out there on the hunt, and were they still bugleing. Once again congratulations on a great tophy buck.

I was out there last week and saw a couple of nice 6 x 6 bulls that were not too far off the road and really bugling up a bunch! Call me at 801-565-2310 (day) and I will give you a bit of information.

Thanks for all of the compliments!

Moneyman- If you're lucky you will draw the tag next year. If you're unlucky plan on it taking another five. I wish you luck!

Muleyslayer1- This was my third year putting in for the tag. I was an alternate. I got a call a month before the hunt and was offered a tag that someone had surrendered. I didn't have to think too hard on that one!

Grizzmoose- I hunted just north of the divide in the roaded section. We basically stayed within a couple of miles of the divide road, covered ground, and did alot of glassing. We found alot of the better bucks in the thick oak trees up high.

Bigpun- We did see some elk. They were bugling. We saw two pretty good bulls, and some smaller ones. Check the area between Railroad Canyon and McCook Canyon.
