Coldwater Ranch CWMU

I just obtained a managment buck permit for my son to hunt on the Coldwater Ranch CWMU. This is his second year hunting big game and I figured this might provide him with an opportunity to harvest his first deer. He can only shoot a 3-point buck (managment buck) and I've been told by the Outfitter that he should have no problem finding one. This will be a non-guided hunt, just my son and I. We have the run of the ranch, just need to stay away from were the cattle are at. Anyone out there that has been on the property in the past that could suggest a place to start?

Just one question. Why are you asking us shouldn't you get a map from the CWMU operator? Ask him to pin point where he has been seeing all these 3 points to hunt.
Good luck on your management hunt? Didn't know their was such a thing though thought you could take what you wanted on a CWMU spike or a 200"er.

I do have maps and info from the Outfitter on areas he suggested, just wanted to get information from anybody else willing to share. The permit was generously donated to my son by the Ranch owner and with permission from the Outfitter. However, the Outfitter stipulated that he could only shoot a managment buck. My son and I felt that was a very acceptable proposition.
