Wyoming unit 16 type 2 tag!

Has anyone hunted the area around Torrington? Just wondering if this area was any good to hunt. There was only twenty five tags given out for a hunt in november. So that make me wonder if its any good. Any info would be nice to hear! Thanks and good luck hunting were ever you are!

They started that hunt a few years ago. It was partially a result of complaints that the deer were in the standing corn and could not be hunted very well during the general season in October. Access can be very tough and there are not a lot of deer in that area. Also, there are not a lot of large landowners in the cropland area, so you'd need to get permission from a lot of folks to hunt much country. I'd proceed with caution. A good indicator is that if it was a top-notch hunt, there would not be leftover licenses every year.
