What would you do?

Well I was out chukar hunting today because I figured the deer havent moved yet. As I was up there I spotted a little forky bedded down. I watched him for an hour and it didnt look to hot. I figured that it was hit early the day before or what not. So I hiked up to the main road which was only like 300 yds and flagged down a couple hunters. Man were they happy as could be. I showed them the buck and watched through my binos as the hunter made a stalk with his open sight 30/30. He walked right up to it and took it. They were ever greatful and couldnt believe how easy their hunt was. Do you all think that was the right thing do. That buck did not look like it would have made it.

Believe me I tried calling a couple buddies but no one could make it. And I believe someone should get it instead of it just wasting you know.

Your first post isn't real clear. Are you saying it was wounded? Already been shot?

You did the right thing.

I think you're saying that he was hit by a car.? Regardless, I think you did the right thing as well. Deer didn't go to waste, and made some hunter happy. Scott/couesbitten

Definately the right thing. The meat didnt go to waste and the deer didnt suffer. Shoulda told them to shoot the guy who quit tracking the deer.

you did the right thing as far as i'm concerned...
thats one of those things, though. as long as you feel it was right then it was right. obviously you made a couple of fellow hunters happy, and the deer did not go to waste. good job.

Tony, I've noticed you have to explain
a lot of thing's to D13er. I's he a little
thow'ed off, or what's up with that?
I'd be glad to send money for his therapy.
Let me know. I worry about that boy.

Ya did the right thing. Ended the suffering, made a hunter happy and maybe saved another deer that hunter would have shot later. Coyotes have plenty of food, they don't need another one. No worries.
