I was jsut digging through a box of pictures and stumbled onto my Dad's booner cougar pics from 1976. He was one large putty tat. I was trying to post them in the general forum, but couldn't sooooo......since they are the biggest and baddest mule deer hunters of the west. Here he is.

Gotta love those old pictures, very nice. Good to see there is one less deer slayer out there. Wonder if any where taken this year over in the Methow during the deer season?

He never had it scored. Its right at the minimium. It didn't help that he boiled the skull for three days to clean it up. I need to get up there and square it. Its funny that I have seen it mounted for years, but have never taken a tape to it. I'm going to try to get it officially scored for the book at this springs sportsmans show. It looks huge even compared to its head. He had lost lots of weight. If I remember right, they found here a buck had nailed him the the chest with an antler and it pierced clear through bruising the heart. It didn't pierce the sac around the heart. One mulie almost took him down.
