I was able to look over a lot of deer, and finally pulled the trigger last night. I couldn't pass up the inline G3:)

I was once again lucky enough to have my father along for the hunt.

It looks like there were a lot of nice deer shot this year in Utah. Congrats to all of the lucky hunters.

As he lay......

Nice buck! Gettin it with dad makes it even a little sweeter. Did you get him with the new CA 270 WSM

No, shot him with old faithful-the 300RUM. I've got the new 270WSM though, I just haven't gotten the time to put it together yet. I may try to get it ready for a hunt I've got coming up in a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure if I can part with old faithful.....she's served me well over the years:)

Nice job Paul. I didn't expect anything less. That left side is kind of cool looking. It almost looks like it has a little whitetail style to it. I need to get my dad out with me on a hunt. I really miss hunting with him.

It's always an adventure!!!

Yes, it will be on the next DVD. I've got over 2 hours of footage from this hunt alone. It's going to be a tough one to edit down to 10 minutes!

I'm 95% sure I've got footage of this buck last month in some thick quakies about 2 miles from where I shot him. I haven't watched the footage to confirm it's him, but it'd be pretty neat if it was.

He was with one doe last night and didn't want to leave her side. The things a guy will do for little action:)

Much congrats!
Way to go...I can't wait for the next vid!

Prism!!!

I THOUGHT YOU WERE LEAVING SOME SEED THIS YEAR???

NICE BUCK!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THINKING THE NORTHERN MUST BE BETTER THAN THE NORTHEASTERN???

Leave the no seed thing to me Bobcat! So far I'm staring at a big goose egg on the kill end of things. One more hunt to go. Paul's too damn good. Those mulies don't stand a chance.

It's always an adventure!!!

The old man doesn't drive a white bronco. Most of the time he's driving my mom crazy or a little white diesel chevy luv with a yellow lab in the back.:)

LAST EDITED ON Oct-31-06 AT 02:17PM (MST)[p]Thanks guys. I'm the first to admit that I've been very lucky on muleys the last few years.

He's just shy of 27" wide, and scores in the mid 170s. I think he looks quite a bit bigger than he scores, but he's not got much going on in the front and his inside spread is greater than his main beams.

All I know is he looked huge staring at me and I couldn't pass him up:) I try not to get caught up with the score thing, but I think it gives us all a reference and an idea of what we're all talking about.

It takes some great fronts and major tine inches to break into the 180 realm of typical muleys.

This buck wasn't near as wide, but man does he have some forkage.

Here's a pic of a buck that another hunter shot. I had seen this buck earlier in the hunt and tried to kill and film it by myself. I couldn't get it done and blew the buck out of the area. I had the buck under 200 yards broadside, but couldn't get the camera on him in time. I'm kicking myself for not just shooting him, but there's nothing I can do about it now...

I caught it all on film. I wasn't too happy:(

I've yet to shoot one with much trash or to break the 30" mark, hopefully this is the year-one more tag!:)

LAST EDITED ON Oct-31-06 AT 08:22PM (MST)[p]A couple more that I shot with the canon (camera);)
