Guys and Gals I need your help. Myself and a friend were hunting out of Hobbs, New Mexico over the last 3 days and on Sunday during the early morning someone broke into my pickup and proceeded to steal
1. Custom .264 win mag with a mesquite thumbhole stock, topped with a Leupold 3-9x50 scope & Harris Bipod.
2. Weatherby 300 mag Mark V with a new HS Precision tan stock topped with a Leupold 6.5-20x40 scope
3. Nikon D70 digital camera with Nikon 18-28 mm lens & black carrying case
4. Bull Basin Outfitters camo staff coat
5. carhart insulated coat

If you can give me info that gets these things back to me I will pay you $500 cash.

Thieves are sorry bast-rds. These were both irreplaceable rifles and it makes me sick. They broke into the truck while it was parked at the Hobb's Family Inn. Please keep on the lookout at any of the pawn shops you might be in and I appreciate all of your help.

Sorry about your guns and other items that were stolen. I had a friend this year lose a generator on a hunt and another had his tool box stolen. I don't know why people feel the need to steal from others. You can bet your butt if it was them that got ripped off they'd be pissed. Times they are a changin and I'm not so sure all of it is for the better. I hope you recover all your goods and the slime that ripped you off serves a little time for it.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck! Hopefully you'll have some good luck and put a bullet in their a@#! Hope they turn up!

That sucks!!! I hope someway those items find their way back to you. I had my truck broke into with about $3K worth of hunting gear (rifle, bino's, camera, etc., etc.) stolen but the thing I miss most was a camera full of undeveloped hunting pics through out the season, made me want to puke!!!!!

Good idea to post this, and I hope you
get your stuff back. I also hope the sorry
POS that did this get's what'fer.
I don't get it anymore.

I will never leave any valuebles in a vehicle and will only eat to where I can see my truck thur the window! been there!
sorry!

Really sorry to hear this. I have had guns stolen as well and know that terrible feeling of frustration and helplessness.

I hope they get what they deserve sometime in the future several times over.

Will keep eyes and ears open for those guns. They seem very unique and should stand out if someone were to try and sell them.

Hope that circumstances come about to recover them.

I am from NM and am very sorry to hear this. When I was down in Lovington on an antelope hunt I was very concerned about the vehicle. The folks in the area said Meth use was huge and stealing was the only way the folks could fund their habit. Way sad.....I hope the cops get them back soon!

Thanks for all of you concern and replies. Any help or info any of you may run into is appreciated. Like mentioned above, I was pi**ed off about the rifles but when I realized the camera was gone with all kinds of family pics on it the pi**ed off factor took on new meaning. As mentioned above, I was told by some of the locals that meth has become so huge in that area that they (Hobbs & Eunice) are having crime rates approaching a city 10 times their sizes. I would imagine that someone working in the motel probably had something to do with it. The surveilance cameras showed everything in the parking lot EXCEPT where I was parked - right under the biggest lights.

I've got some friends over there,(cattle, feed lots etc.)I'll have thier boys start checking pawn shops and just keep thier eyes and ears open. Never know, people usually \do B.S.like that because they are lazy and stupid so lets hope they slip up some place. You might want to PM elk4you he was born and raised there.
