Well anyways I got some pics of some other bucks and I found this one yesterday running some doe's. I put the stalk on him and I would see them moving down a draw and every time I thought I would get ahead of them I would come up and they would be in the next draw. i would move again and again the next draw. Till finally they went around the finger of a huge rock pile. I cut across and thought I could be above them when they came up along the rocks I would smoke him. Well low and behold they where not there. I was pissed as there should have never got ahead of me. I went down and around a bunch of rocks and never did find them. Found tracks but there was to much fresh sign in there. Well 2 miles back to truck and to head to work. I got to work and several buddies called me and I told them what I saw and they told me to get on him. Well I ran 3 squares of siding and I told my buddy I new where they went and needed to get back out there. He said he would be back around 3 on the job. Well I left job around 1 pm and I found the spike that was with the group I saw that morning. I knew they where near. I moved in as the spike was a 1/2 mile out. Got to where he was and was moving slowly threw the sage brush glassing everything. I thought he fed around a small rock pile and got a wierd feeling and turned back where I came and the spike was bedded 30 yds from me. Behind me. Well he got up and ran out about 40 yds and walked around me and headed up around the small rock pile. As he went over the next hill I moved up and he was heading around the other end of a small bowl and as I came over the top I saw horns 30 yds below me. I stepped back nocked a arrow and came to full draw and the big buck and the 5 doe's where all watching the spike. I nailed the big buck and he ran straight down and up the other side and over the hill. I walked down found my arrow stuck in the dirt and covered in blood. I followed the blood trail up the other side and found him dead up on top. I was jacked as he was a very nice buck. I walked back to my truck and found a way up on top of the rock pile and took a picture and sent it to my brother and he called me and asked who's it was and I told him mine. He was like I just talked to you a couple hours ago. My buddy called me and asked where I was and I told him loading my buck and he said he was on his way out. He is the one who took the pics and he did a awesome job on them.
But here are the pics and I did not score him or measure anything on him.
Enjoy as I have not been this excited on a hunt for several years.

Caped and fleshed this buck and found number 6 shot on his side and in his face. Not much into shotguns but my buddies where here and they said someone must have shot him while phesant hunting and the shot was around 40-50 yds. Didnt penetrate the hide. The one in the side had about 5 BB's touching meat and there was bruising. Even found a BB in his mouth stuck in his gums. Was lead shot though. Was pretty wild to see this in a buck.
