Anybody hunt This unit last week?

I am interested to see how you did.

We hunted it the whole five days and saw several bucks in the 24-28 inch range. The evening of the the 4th day we came accross a buck that was atleast 33-34 with some trash but by the time we got to where we could get a shot it was to dark to identify which one was him.

On the 5th day at dusk we located a nice, wide, heavy antlered 4 pt (probably 31-32") but we had the same problem as the night before, so we opted to pass him up.

The moon made it tough as the bucks were usually bedded by 7:45 so small pushes and glassing were in order. All in all it was a good hunt but we were holding out for a beast and weren't going to change our plan just for the sake of filling a tag. In the end, No deer but a good time.

I know of two pigs that got harvested on that hunt. One 35 inch 7x8 and 5x6 with absolute insane mass, 26 wide that had weak forks. I'll try to get pics from my buddy that saw the deer. That hunt has the best potential in the state for a buck of a life time, just too much country to cover. I believe both of these bucks were killed by well hands that work in the area and see the bucks on a regulr basis.

You were doing good to see the buck's you did, congrats and good ethics by the way, not too many guys have that kind of sand...
