swakane archery

I'm going to join my brother in the swakane this year as an extra pair of eyes during the swakane late hunt. Neither one of us have ever even driven through it before. We are both in excellent shape and hunt very hard. Any suggestions on where to start? I'm working on a master's degree at CWU and have a hard time getting out to scout. Thanks in advance.

PS-my dad just got back with his buddy from hunting in the snow on a Chiwawa rifle permit-they shot a 3x2!? It makes me wish a would have been there yelling DON'T SHOOT!

I've had that late Chiwawa tag before, it can be a tough one if the weather doesn't cooperate. But with a week left, I don't know, could be pretty good this weekend.

I plan on huntin' the Swakane for late archery as well. Haven't nailed down the exact spot I'm gonna go but will soon. I'll keep in touch as it gets closer. I may hunt a day or two over Thanksgiving weekend, but lookin' more at that first weekend in December.

A buddy and I will be there this sunday. We gonna hunt through thanksgiving morning than head home for turkey. Not sure where we're gonna start for sure. I got one idea of a spot to walk in, but it's a hike and a half by the time the day is over. I seen a ton of deer in there last year on opening day.
