LAST EDITED ON Jul-24-11 AT 10:40AM (MST)[p]I got some video of this bull running away and I froze it and took some pictures, so sorry they aren't that great! But, what do you guys think he would score?? He seems like a pretty big bull to me. If he's not over 370 idk what is... lol

I would be hard pressed putting that bull over 340. Unless it's just your pics looks like all he has going for him is the top end. No 2nds and 6 inch 3rds don't help

unless it is just the picture angle or something, it does appear that he is missing some lower end stuff. Thye always look bigger in velvet and running away!

I think the "Frame" and Tops are close to a 370 type bull, but I have doubts that it would "officiallly" get anywhere close to that number.

It is still a very nice bull, and one to be happy with.

If he has all his browtines he will go 370 and over But if he missing some browtines he will still be a 350 bull.

hes a 5x6. yes he's a 370 class 6x6 but that bull isn't a 6x6 so his official score would be more like 340 to 350. As for 6 inch 3rds goes, I think not. Those 3rds are solidly above 13 inches. I've measured lots of 3 rds and you have to start from underneath the horn. that adds a lot of length quick.

Those Nevada bulls are studs. Do you have a tag?? My Dad has the early rifle for units 111-222. Cannot wait!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-24-11 AT 11:02PM (MST)[p]I was watching the video again, and I found a spot where I can see his 2nd's... I know he has them now, so I still think he scores around 370ish lol.

Here's the pictures. You can barely see it on his left side...

Who cares!! That's one bull you shoot on site and worry about the score when he's on the ground. I promise you won't be disappointed!

It's always an adventure!!!

velvet makes them look bigger- - MAYBE 350

well there's only one way to find out. shoot it and put a tape on it and let us know what you come up with. Good Luck!

I don't even think that the bull in the one picture of him standing looking to our right is the same bull. The left beam turns up sharply on the end of the running bull, and he appears to have a 6th point on that side. The standing bulls beams both angle down the same way. Am I wrong? The running bull is quite a bit bigger than 345 in my opinion.

Who cares what he scores, awesome bull. Put him on the ground, and we will see. thanks for sharing. JB

Yeah, if you guys read the original post he says that the bull in the good picture isn't the same bull as the one running. The one standing still is a 345-350 bull. The bigger one will push 370-375 but he better get shot before the rut goes into full swing cuz he's gonna break some off his backs! I can promise you that!

That looks like the same branch that is in the second photo of the first post. Either way it is a great bull, and I wouldn't care what it scored.

Both are big bulls, but my question, is that a shed behind the evergreen in the picture of the second bull?
Looks like 2 tines sticking up out of the sage....

If the biggest bull will only score 340" then I really hope my daughter kills a "340" just like it!!!!!!!!

My guess actually would be 370"+.

I get to look at a 348" and a 382" in my house every day and your bigger bull falls closer to the larger one at my house.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-30-11 AT 03:12PM (MST)[p]I agree with some, he's not as big as his charachter makes him look. His fronts are only 16" and his thirds are only 12 or 13" with a 36" spread. I get him at 344 right now.

**Edit** I thought they were the same bull too. Had to go reread the post. The good pic of the one from the side is the one I got at 344 :)

Cheers,
Pete

Yes the bull running and the bull standing are two different bulls...
And I don't think that is a shed... That was around 11,000 feet and I doubt they are up there in the early spring. There was still a ton of snow up there this year in June! lol

Update from 10k ft. I saw that bull running away this morning. It does look like he'd go 370 but I didn't get a real thorough look. The other bull was with him in the bottom pic and I think he'll only go 335 or so. Hopefully I see them again and can get some good pics.

This might help. Here is what a measured 378 2/8 (gross) bull looks like. And that's with 6 3/4 inches broke off..(AZ Unit 6A Muzzleloader, 2010)

Those are two really neat bulls! Like those sweeping fronts! Not sure the best one is in the 370 class though.
