Here are two different three points. Each characteristically different. You might have seen the one last week, and the other I took pictures of yesterday. Which one would you rather tag and which one do you think scores the best for a three.

Both are nice Bucks, but I dont know that I would shoot either one. But if I had to, prolly the first one.

:( Somebody didn't like bouncing betty :(

if I was to shoot one it would be the last one--it will score the best also---chris

Buck # 1. heaviest antlers, widest spread, and most mature buck.

First buck looks like an older buck. I'd take him outta the gene pool if I wasn't after a bigger buck.

Tough call, I would definetly shot the top one. But Im thinking the bottome one maybe would score better, matching eyequards decent mass and looks like very little deductions probably net better, tough one to determine.

I changed my mind I think the top buck would score better, after a second look, wider taller and heavier.

I would take the first one, looks to be much more mature and probably won't reach much more potential. Plus he looks like a brute.

Well, from being from Washington, I'd take either one of them fair chase and be very happy. I think I would rather shoot the first as he was a hawg in size, and the most mature. I believe the other one will grow a bit more next year, but will probably still be a three point. His "Daddy" whom I probably saw about 3 years ago was a super hawg three point that was incredible and kicked butt on both. His frame was very similiar proportioned, but about 3 times the mass with lots of moss, and of course a bit wider and very much taller. I'll see if I can drum up a pic.

I'll go against the grain and take #2. I like the "look" of those antlers more than #1 but agree with the above comments that #1 is probably the older buck.

HEY...thats the 3 in the first pic!! :0)

I'd take number 1, but the scores will be insignificantly different I think....#1 by several inches. Just a better looking buck.

Cool pics Doug,

Dang thats almost a dead ringer isn't it.

I think the first one has met his potential. He might get heavier, but I bet his tine length will get even shorter unless we are out of our drought years. I think the second one still will get bigger, especially if that was his Dad a couple years earlier. I'm still looking for his pic. That was pre-digital.

The top one due to apparent age over the second one. The second may only stay a three but may gain some points. Pretty positive the 1st is maxed out.

Well I believe that if your shooting any of these your not worrying to much bout the score, just the look,as you should in most cases. Well thats me anyways.

I would definately shoot the first buck. It is the older of the two. The second buck has room to grow bigger on would be as dandy in a couple years. Also unless the first has been on the decline for a few years he never got real big, so i would take him out of the pool and let the bigger bucks make more big bucks.
