I hunted 2nd season rifle near yellow jacket pass. As you will see there will be hundreds of deer along the roads. Try to sty in the lower elevations, thats where we found the deer in late october. The last morning we hunted I seen a real nice 3 point with a herd of does, he was about 200 yards on the private land side of the fence. I may have seen him that first monday but he got across the fence before I could shoot. Also I didn't want to shoot the first buck that I seen. Although I wish I could have had another crack at him. If you have never hunted scrub oak have fun, this stuff is like a three to four year old clear cut.
