never seen a drop point off the base before
 
That is a sweet buck, that looks really cold i got chills just looking at the pic.
 
Very nice deer, I got cold just looking at your picture, Maybe the wind chill was pretty low.
 
Oh man, that's a nice buck! Congratulations. Hard work pays off sometimes!

I hunted antelope in 051 as a non-resident once. Always wanted to go back and hunt deer.

thanks to all for the comments. also thanks to those who offered info and advice on this area. this area may not be a "top knotch" trophy area. but believe me, there are some nice bucks in the unit for those who are willing to pursue them. seems like it could be a tag you can realistically hope to draw every so often. i typically choose not to apply for the very best units due to stiff draw odds. give me an area that i can draw a tag for every few seasons and i'll learn the ways of the bucks in the region and take a couple good ones while others are waiting for the "hunt of a lifetime". thats my philosophy anyway. sometimes it works out.
