Leaving on Thursday, my son got lucky and drew a LE archery tag on a unit that took me 15 points to draw a Muzz tag on a few years back. I can't concentrate at work any longer and just want to get out of town and head for the mountain. Here are a couple of pics I took earlier this month. I'll keep you guys posted as the hunt unfolds. Hope to get some good photo's and hopefully film it. I know he really wants to get a bigger one than his old man took, so I posted a photo of mine as well so you guy's know his goal.

Good luck to your son this year, the SJ will be a tough ticket i think this year with a bow especially early. Its hot!!! Let us know if you get to the end and are still hunting or if you need help packing something out before it spoils.

Todd really appreciate your help offer again this year. I am excited to share this hunt with my son. Your right about the hot weather, we don't really expect to much right now but you never know. I just really like watching the the animals and knowing that we have a tag in our pocket just in case something presents itself. I have seen quit a few bulls and from what I have seen it looks like antler growth is pretty good this year. I'll say hi when I run into ya. Later, TC.

Wow! good luck this year to both you and your son. I know exactly what you mean I can't focus on anything. I even dream about hunting elk at night. Dont know if other people do that but when you've been waiting an entire year to go hunting the anxiety and anticipation of the hunt get overwhelming
