Wow. You are going to make someone's day, hopefully you can sell it to a family. That is definitely a tough deal, but you have to do what is best for yours.

It's called loyalty and honoring your commitments. Sounds like to me he's got his priorities right where they need to be. Plenty of time for hunting in the future.

It's always an adventure!!!

Wholelottabull, also I'm fairly young myself I'm only 25. I spent a lot of my time in high school chasing a skateboard and playing electric guitar in a band , those were my "commitments" . I would not trade all of the time I spent doing those things , for one day I have spent hunting Elk with my dad. Because now with college and all that fun stuff I have to really fight to get just a day or two of the archery season with my dad =(. Just how I feel about it that's why I made the comment about priorities. I realize not everyone feels the same way =)

I would love to buy that for my son. Too bad he's only 4 months old. I had a bunch of friends who took high school sports way serious. One actually got a full ride to play B ball for Hawaii. If you are really good and can go to a D1 school and get a free degree then go for it. however, old hunting stories are awesome and let's be honest old high school sports stories aren't so cool to hear 15 or so years down the road. I'm 31 now and I wish I would have spent less time with my buddies hangin out and chasin girls in high school and more 1 on 1 with the ol man. Not tryin to piss anyone off but that's my .02. If anybody on here buys that hunt do us all a favor and tell us how it went

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"

I didn't take it as rude at all. I was just making a comment of admiration for the young man. I'm sure it's not an easy decision. My daughters gave up hunting with me for a few years because of other commitments that will probably land them scholarships at a university. As a dad, I miss them with me in the woods, but also love every minute, watching them in their sports and dance.

It's always an adventure!!!

Can it be transferred to the first week of the season? I am heading out w/ my 15 year old on a DIY, but would jump at this chance.

Thanks

treed,
Thanks for the callback. It will be a helluva deal for someone!
Tough to beat the price and the accomodations etc.
