Region C Wyoming Hunt

This was my second Mule Deer hunt in Wyoming-better luck this year than last, but I still didn't come home with what I had hoped for. It came down to the last day and my brother and I both ended up with 3x3's. We started out in some high country and moved down to the flats toward the end of the week. We put on a lot of miles, did a few stalks and a lot of hard work which is by far my favorite part of hunting out west. It's a lot different than hunting in Wisconsin! Overall it was a great week of hunting with my Dad and brother, and I learned a lot that I can apply to my future hunts.

what's your goal or what did you hope to get?
A couple of young bucks for a few years are a great way to start out!
Every year you learn....
Every year you can harvest better bucks just have to learn and tick with it!

Nice job Kristi. About time to change schools or get a seasonal job out here and enjoy more Western hunting. Thanks for the share.

looks like you got a couple of nice eating bucks, Did you guys hunt down around the creekbeds ( low lands area) Hope you put back in for next years hunt looks like you are finding out that to pattern a area you have to hunt it a few times. good luck next year.

Thanks for the input everyone! Yes we did hunt around the creekbeds- we saw a lot of doe but not many bucks.

I'm hoping to continue hunting Wyoming, but I want to try Montana sometime soon as well. I'm expecting to do a summer internship in either state and move west within the next few years. Until then, I'll continue doing my research!

Nice work Kristi, keep at it. Keep applying for those trophy units, keep learning, and dont listen to a word some of these monkeys say. Oh yeah my phone number is ......... just kidding once again nice job.
