Here is a deer I killed in Oregon on public land during archery season. Shot him at 8rds. Ran about 20 feet before almost jumping the canyon rim, but his horns got stuck between two trees!

Oh ya forgot to mention that I had my pants around my ankles taking a dump when the buck appeared. Caught up to him an hour later after the stalk...

Ahh Yes, the old take a dump Buck!
He shows up at the darndest times.

That is a pig of a deer and an outstanding mount. The September coat, detail, velvet. That's one of the sharpest bucks I've seen all year. He looks a like he may have been a younger deer, 5yrs? What genetics! Thanks for posting and congrats.

That is a nice deer and my kind of hunting. I wish I had the same thing happen to me when I was clipping a yam. If so there would be a lot more mounts on my wall.

I guess it has paid off, I did find my biggest muley shed while taking care of business....

"Clipping a yam", Bwaaaa haaaa haaaa.

OH ya, nice buck too!!! It is a good thing you were already taking care of business, or else you might have had to change your shorts. Great job.

I hear great stories of big bucks while guys are taking a dump. Makes me keep a good lookout and raises my hopes when I got my pants down. No luck yet though.

I have had a few stalks that ended short. It seems like the stink pickles always come at the wrong time for me.
Ausome buck!

Wow.....Great buck!! That is an incredible mount! That isn't toilet paper hanging off the left side is it? :) Can't say I haven't had that happen to me a time or two. :)

The piece hanging from the antler is the last piece of velvet that was left on the horns. The taxi was able to perserve it.

Ya....I like that velvet on there. I think it gives it even more character.....not that it doesn't have enough already. :)

LAST EDITED ON Dec-07-06 AT 06:23PM (MST)[p]It really is a nice mount job on a great buck, and the story to boot...
