Thought id share some pictures of my nov 11/15 06 NM Muley.
He's A 28 wide 3x4. The area I hunted is a heavly hunted area Hunters every where!! But Hunting hard paid off once again this year as i was able to harvest this old wise Desert Buck. I tracked him all morning and finally bumped into him miday Making a 50 yard shot off hand. Hope yall enjoy the pictures It was a Awsome Hunt!!!
Also heres a trail cam pic of a cougar caught on camera back in arizona!!! Thought id share!!!

That is the first photo I have seen where the rack width actually looks "wider" then the stated width. Usually they look 18" and say 28", LOL

No he's 28 outside spread, just shy 2 inches
of the "Magical" 30 inch mark!!

Hey, great buck. I have hunted unit 23 several times myself. By the creosote in the background, I assume you were hunting the southern portion of the unit. While I was going to NMSU, I used to roam the southern end of 23 quite a bit. I used to see some great bucks like yours there. Actually, I have friends that have taken some great bucks there. Congratulations on a great buck.

Nice Wide buck and a shooter for sure. Nothing wrong with posing up a photo a little. Yours is not crazy and really out of line. Most everyone does it and some should be laughed at how bad they try to fool everyone. None really bother me unless the guy makes a claim exceeding the actual width, size, or height. I really like the ones where the hunter is the full body length and then some behind the animal. What a joke. Just laughable how some try to take credit for something that is just not true. It does not take much at all to really tell what the buck looks like or measures out.
